- Cronus filters are color coded by membrane and pore size which make them easy to identify
- Cronus filters have a larger useable membrane surface area, as much as 40% larger than some competitive brands. A 25 mm filter can have as much or more filter CAPACITY than a 30 mm filter.
- Cronus filters have very low extractable's, particularly the new Nylon membrane which has the lowest extractable's of any on the market. PTFE is chemically resistant but has higher extractable's.
- Cronus filter membranes are treated and quality tested to ensure integrity and reproducibility prior to and during manufacturing. They are reliable.
- Cronus filters are fabricated using a three piece, two stage process and have a re-enforced sealing ring around the outside of the device.

Safety
Do not under-estimate the power of the safety argument in filters. Every GLP lab is concerned with safety and it is the single biggest reason why three piece filters are well used.
The three piece construction of the filter is emulated by other manufacturers but in fact most of those filters are in fact two piece constructions and any ring is actually part of the main filter body.
